Well after getting some advice it looks a soldering gun is the way to go to build large parts made out of PE ( thanks guys who responded back to the thread Pardon me but...). What should I be looking for what type any info would be helpful! :-) I'm going to pick up my other "new toy " i just bought, a M1A with the loaded package JOY!! #:-) :-) Thanks Scott

I use an electric powered soldering gun whose power should be between 20 and 30W. They're quite cheap and, if possible, I suggest to get one with interchangeable tips. In case you are willing to spend a few bucks more you can get a tool for pyrography tkat usualy comes with a complete set of tips ranging from soldering, to cutting, to engraving...

X-acto makes a nice Soldering iron & Hot knife. i think it's 30 watts.
