This review was written back in 2006 by Matt Leese, but somehow lost its topic ID... I wanted to add some of my own thoughts after assembling and painting this figure set, so I''m making a new topic for this old review.

I wanted to expand this review, but not by re-writing it completely. I find comments made by Matt pretty much hit the target. My sample was also cast well, but I did find some seam lines and couple of air bubbles. The fit is absolutely great with the system of protrusions and indentations allowing propper alignment of the parts. The driver's left arm holds the steering wheel nicely, and the wheel also fits to the indentations of the figure legs. Use the steering wheel supplied in the set, not the Tamiya one as it is a bit too large.

The figures fit the Tamiya Humvee really well. They are easy to position on the seats, but I had to reposition the steering wheel column by gluing it to the steering wheel instead of the Humvee dashboard to get a perfect fit. One extra thing I had to do was to trim bits of the outer arms from the figures as the doors wouldn't close properly... but that's because I added all sorts of details to the door interior, making them more thick than the original Tamiya doors.

So, that's about it. Here's the pic of assembled and painted figures:

And here's how they look inside the Humvee:

Hope you will find this info usefull.

Mario - You did an outstanding job painting those Figures. What did you use to paint them?

As somebody who's efforts are pathetic whenever it comes to painting figures, I really admire your skills: the figures look simply stunning ! What paints are you using ? Acrylic or enamels ?

Thanks for your comments guys. The figures have been made for my M1025 Humvee build (link). Some of the figure painting process was described in that thread.

Cheers,
Mario
