Nice work Peter!

OK, last chance for me. I'm gonna give this one more try. This one has been in the stash for a long while:

Some initial painting has been done, but not everything and no construction:

I did Doolittle's plane years ago when it first came out, so this time it's Ruptured Duck's turn. Hopefully...

Hi mates,
another project nearly finished, I call my JU-88 A-4 ready!
Here are a few pictures, better ones will find their way into the gallery soon.

The Zvezda kit was all in all a pleasant build without really big problems and good fitting for most parts. I built it OOB plus decals from Techmod.
In the kit were the same, but without any stencils....

A late starter to this. I am also building one of my favourite aircraft, the de Havilland Mosquito.

@Mark - your guys look cool already, even unpainted

My JU-88 is now ready for the decals and final touch ups, as antennas, rest of cockpit glazing etc.
Oh, and the bombs....

Well, I had been considering my aircrew as Larry, Moe and Curly. But once I cleaned the flash off and got them primered,

I'm thinking of them as Larry, his brother Daryl and his other brother Daryl.

There's a lot of really good work going on here and I feel bad that I've let this one get away from me. Looking at the calendar, I note that there are less than two months left, and it's time to fish or cut bait.

My original plan was to do the HK 1/32 B-17F. Well, that's obviously not going to happen in the time remaining. So, time to dig through the stash. And I really had to dig! But, lookee what I found:

Now, I'm not even going to try to pretend that it's unstarted:

But I think I'm safe in saying that it's less than 25% completed. So I'm going for it. Let's see if I can stick with this one...

Hello,

i've a lot of bombers im my stash, and i would like build the Bristol Blenheim Mk.IV.

I've read the qualifying conditions (bombers, 2 engines, minimum 2 pers. ) and i think that he qualify. But i'm not 100% sure.

Is this plane OK for the campaign?

Seems to me that it qualifies quite nicely. Full speed ahead!

Original OLD kit, plenty of raised rivets, engine cylinders molded into the cowlings, loungers for seats, pilot and bombader are exactly the same shape. The decals are totally toasted and I got PLENTY of extra flash to go around.

Well then, Mark, happy modelling!
You will succeed!
Cheers

Ouch, I goofed... Waited till there were 2 months to go and then posted my start picture.

Airfix / US Airfix 1/72 A-20C Havoc. I shot the interior green a month ago? And forgot to shoot a start photo. Well, here it is:

Peter,
Thank you for the words of encouragement. Your build is looking great. I've posted the pics showing the port side wing and notice the tail section is off. You are right, I will get through. Happy New Year everyone.
Cheers,

Greetings Peter,
This is an Airfix Ju88A-4 1/72 scale. Thank you for your compliment, the fit wasn't very good. Used a lot of green putty. Port side wing looks like a Stuka wing upside down, and tail looks like it has a twist. Now that I'm mentioning it i should shoot a few pics and post. 2018 has been an Airfix year, kind of challenging. Three Airfix kits completed.
Cheers

Greetings and a happy new year to you
Well, I can imagine the challenge of these old Airfix kits as I remember my schooldays when I was starting modelling with a lot of Airfix kits...
But nonetheless you did a great job and there's always the satisfaction later, when you've mastered the problems and look at your finished model on the shelf
So I'm very pleased I have this kit from Zvezda on my bench. Encountered no real problems yet, fitting is very good so far. Dry-fitting of the wings showed no upcoming gaps, so I decided to paint the undersides already, because it will be simplier to paint these "Spaghetti" camouflage lines before mating to the fuselage.
Cheers Peter
