Greetings all,

In July of 2015, while researching a P-47 build, I ran across this site. So impressed was I, that I joined. Since then, I have improved my modeling skills, completed more builds and have had more fun with this hobby than I thought.

I am a bit saddened that we've not entertained a group build since the 56th build in 2015. I do realize that life happens and proirities change, therefore I wrote Nigel our fearless administrator. His response was "go for it". Therefore, I am!

It's high time we've had a group build!

That said, I propose:

- A six month group build
- Any P-47, any timeframe, any scale, any state of construction.

It's time for us to re-enstate ourselves!

Who's in?

John

Eduard's 1/32 P-47D in stash, and I just need a reason to build it. I'm in.

To build a P-47 should be no problem for me. I have dozens of them in my stash, all 1/48. If the campaign doesn't collide with my others (see signature ....), I join in.

Hi all!

Thanks Pasi and Torsten! That's 3!

I was kind of hoping for a better response, and am wondering if word of this is getting out.

I've noticed that our SIG "P-47 Heaven" doesn't come up on the Kit Maker Network, on my computer or phone. Not sure about anyone else. Is this true?

Trying to drum up business here, before tossing to Aeroscale…

Any thoughts are welcome

Thanks,

John

If this is still a Proposal I would be very interested. Maybe move it over to Aeroscale.

Hey Bob,

Yes, it's still a proposal, though dying on the vine.

I agree that it should be kicked to Aeroscale, Though from I understand, if you've not posted anything for a year, administration will do stuff. In this case, P-47 Heaven, while still a viable site, is no longer on the Aeroscale menu.

So perhaps a revision to the proposal...SOSIG? As in save our special interest group?

It's a thought, I'd hate to see this SIG die out, there's lot's of P-47 folks out there. I'll propose it on aeroscale, and see what happens.

Thanks for your, Pasi's, and Torsten's support.

Let's see where it goes!

Put me in, I have several kits to choose from and way too much time.

BTW: what is your favorite P-47 kit?

Amazingly enough my stash of P-47's is kinda slim. At most there's 5 with one started and 1 dedicated to the Mighty 8th campaign. Might be a great chance to tackle that MPM XP-47H I grabbed at a show.
