Hi Folks,

Once again I come to drink from the well of knowledge. I'm building a P-47D-30-RA, from the 313FS/50th FG. 1st Lt. Stuart Moak's mount "Little Rosie", April 1945, Gielbelstadt, Germany.

My searching on this has been limited to the internet, and the build is for my wife Rosie. Her attention to details on the subject are not as much as mine. For me, it's a fun build, though do wish to know about the underwing insignia.

Most of my knowledge is from the 56th, and these guys were activated later, and apparently hopped across France, into Germany. Mostly ground support.

The question is: What were the underside insignia used? My thinking is that they were still doing insignia on both undersides, and that the starboard would have been a 45", and the port a 55".

Any help would be most appreciated!

Thanks,

John
