"Jan Klarbęk (MrMox) shares a fine gallery of images of his build of ICM Models, 1/72 scale German Type XXVIIB Seehund Midget Submarine, in this "On Display" feature!"
This its ICMs little Seehund kit in 1:72 - you will find a review right here
All in all its enjoyable build, very much straight forward, and you are soon at the painting stage, which is what I find most enjoyable.
I have painted it pretty much like I would have, if it had been one of the bigger subs. First a gentle pre-shading with very dark gray, then a light over spray with a light gray, and then some highlights with a middle-gray on the center of the panels.
After a coat of future, I added decals and sealed them with another coat of future.
With the base-paint under a solid coat of future, the boat was washed with oils and rust was applied with a fine brush. A coat of dull lacquer and a finishing light dry brush completed the paint job.
The base is a solid piece of wood, sanded and lacquered and the "groundwork" is done from cardboard and cork with a layer of plaster - painted and added a replica submarine badge.
A very fine little build and an enjoyable entry into the world of submarines, should you have such ambitions!

Hi Jan
Very good presentation of the Seehund!
I like it a lot - even if it is a filthy sub
Congrats!!

Very nice, Jan, a well executed piece of artwork. The black and white picture really gives it believability.

Nice job. Good weathering, without being over the top. That must draw a lot of attention at clubs or shows for being so unusual.
