Hello, My name is John Stournaras and I am from Greece. I am new to static modelling and this is my 2nd model. The kit is Tamiya’s ΄΄Republic P-47D Thunderbolt razorback΄΄ in 1/48 scale. The fit and the quality was superb and the cockpit very detailed.
The PE details came from the Eduard 49226 set, pilot’s seat and wheels from Ultracast, cowl flaps from Quickboost and Lifelike decals. My intention was to build ‘’Miss Plainfield’’, a P47D-1-RE model, flown by Spiros "Steve"Pisanos, a Greek immigrant who flew with the 4th Fighter Group USAAF during WWII.
The colors that I used are Dull Dark Green and Zinc Chromate Yellow of White Ensign and Gunze acrylics.

Hi John,
wonderful P-47 you show us here! As a fan of american WW II aircraft, I always like to see well built models of them. But you're joking, when you say that this is just your 2nd kit, right? Congratulation for this great "Donnerbolzen" (german for Thunderbolt).
Now you need to show us the "Sluf" you flew in the HAF .....
Happy modelling
Torsten
