While "Thundercals" may be a new addition to the ranks of decal manufacturers, the man behind it, Norris Graser has been involved in decal research for many years now.

The first two sheets from Thundercals have just been released, and both feature P-47 razorbacks based in the P.T.O.

Sheet one.
P-47D razorback Thunderbolts of the PTO Part 1

2 P-47s of the 58th Fighter Group are included, and they feature offset art by Mike Kloppenburg/Bombshell decals.

310th FS/58th FG

19th FS/318th FG
8 Ball
Pilot Lt. Kenneth Blackjack Elender. NMF cowling and tail. Art on both sides of the cowling. 4th plane
off the Natoma Bay for Alsito Field, Saipan.

Each set of decals includes data and stencilling for one aircraft.
Additional information on each P-47 is also included with veterans of the Fighter Groups featured being the primary reference sources.

The sheets are printed by Cartograf and are of the usual high quality that we have come to expect from them.
However, the sheer quality and precision of the artwork is outstanding even by their standards.
The representative images emailed from Thundercals don't do the actual decals justice.

Hopefully these sheets will be the first of many P-47 decals from Thundercals, and that can only be a good thing for fans of the Jug.

Thundercal decals can be ordered direct from Norris Graser.
Highs: Exceptional print quality.
Verdict: A great start from Thundercals. Hopefully the first sheets of many.

Now there's something I will NOT be able to pass up. Razorbacks from my part of the world, very tasty looking set indeed. Thanks for the review boss, now I just have to pass it by the leader of the opposition for approval. Wish me luck. Cheers, D

Good luck with that, Damian. I am currently on a semi self imposed ban on purchasing any plastic kits from New Year untill March. So far I am holding up - mainly because it does not include decals and books.
